Terms of Use

Welcome to One for One. These terms are an agreement between you and One for One ("we", "us", or "our") covering your use of the One for One app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use One for One. By using the app, you confirm that you are 18 or older, that you have never been convicted of a sexual offense or a violent crime, and that you are not a registered sex offender in any jurisdiction. You also confirm you are not restricted from using the app under sanctions or similar laws.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. You must give accurate information about yourself — including your real age — and keep it current. You may have only one account. Don't share your account with anyone else, and tell us right away if you think someone has gained access to it.

3. Community rules

One for One only works if people treat each other well. You agree not to:

  • Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or intimidate other users.
  • Post photos or text that are nude, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, discriminatory, or illegal.
  • Impersonate another person, or use photos of anyone other than yourself.
  • Use the app for commercial purposes, solicitation, spam, scamming, or prostitution.
  • Ask other users for money, or share links to external payment or crypto services.
  • Collect other users' information or contact details without their consent.
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems.

We may remove content and suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and text you add to the app. But to run One for One we need permission to use them: by posting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, and display it in connection with operating and promoting the app. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups and content previously shared with other users. You alone are responsible for the content you post, and you promise it doesn't violate anyone else's rights or these terms.

5. Matching and rankings

The app shows you pairs of profiles and builds a personal preference ranking from your choices. Match scores are calculated from these rankings — they are estimates of mutual interest, not guarantees of compatibility. We may change how comparisons, rankings, and match scores work at any time.

6. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you've broken these terms, if required by law, or at our discretion — for example, to protect the safety of our community. If we terminate your account for a serious violation, you may not be allowed to create a new one.

7. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We don't conduct criminal background checks on users, and we can't — and don't — guarantee that other users are who they say they are. Please use good judgment when interacting with and meeting people, including meeting in public places for the first time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, One for One and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the app, or your breach of these terms.

10. General

  • Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where One for One has its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
  • Changes. We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows the current version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
  • Severability. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • Entire agreement. These terms and our Privacy Policy make up the entire agreement between you and us regarding the app.
